1. Basic domains of academic achievement
On December 5, 2023, the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Korea Institute of Curriculum and Evaluation (KICE) announced the results of the analysis of the Programme for International Student Achievement (PISA) 2022 conducted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). PISA is administered every three years to compare the achievement and trends in mathematics, reading, and science skills of students aged 15 (grades 3 to 1) internationally and to understand the relationship between educational contextual factors and achievement. PISA 2022 was conducted in 81 countries around the world (37 OECD member countries and 44 non-member countries). Approximately 690,000 students participated, with a total of 6,931 students from 186 schools in Korea (352 students from 14 middle schools, 6,482 students from 168 high schools, and 97 students from 4 various schools).

Therefore, it is more necessary to allow students to organize school events themselves, from budgeting to planning and organizing events to settlement and event evaluation, so that they can analyze the results. In addition, the decision-making process should be a two-way consultation rather than a one-way production and delivery of information to create active participation based on partnership.
