Thematic Sessions Confirmed.

The Secretariat of the World Human Rights Cities Forum (WHRCF) has been organizing Thematic Sessions with civil society organizations to explore collaboration with various groups. The host organizations and titles of the Thematic Sessions for the 14th WHRCF were confirmed in mid-July.

This year, a total of 25 partners, comprising 17 domestic and 8 international partners, will join the WHRCF. Of these, 11 organizations are partners for the Thematic Sessions. Additionally, four new organizations have joined this year: the Gwangju Civil Society Support Center (formerly the NGO Support Center), the Gwangju Council of Civil Society Organizations, the Chonnam National University Human Rights Center, and the Korea Civil Society Support Organization Center.

The 14th WHRCF will feature five Thematic Sessions: Citizen Collaboration in Public Administration, Disability, Migration, Women, and Children and Youth. Given that civic space and human rights cities are the main themes of this year's Forum, the sessions organized by civil society organizations are expected to generate discussions and practical actions to sustain and expand civic space.

On July 26, the Secretariat will hold the first working meeting for the organizers of the Thematic Sessions. They will confirm the session dates and times, invitation process, and publicity, and discuss ways to collaborate effectively to ensure the Forum's success. More information on this year's Forum program will be available on the website in early August.
