Human Rights Cities Against Authoritarianism and Populism

If I were to point to one factor that has contributed to the promotion of human rights at the sub-national level globally, I would highlight the World Human Rights City Forum. We are now here in Gwangju for the 16th time.

This is just one example of how cities can help turn the tide away from current illiberal and authoritarian trends, and how they can promote and protect human rights for their citizens.
