In the Asia Pacific region, more than 690 million people have some forms of disability.1) This is expected to grow faster as more and more coronavirus disease (COVID) survivors report experiencing reduced functional abilities.2) With about 60% of megacities found in the region, cities in the Asia Pacific could lead the world to sustainable urban life for persons with disabilities and older persons.

World Enabled’s intervention at the 11th World Human Rights Forum will give an overview of people with disabilities in urban areas in Asia and the Pacific region.
